# What happens if my payment through AlTareq fails?

If an AlTareq payment fails, the Licensed Financial Institution* will immediately notify you of the transaction failure. Possible reasons include insufficient funds, authentication errors, or a processing error at the receiving institution. Your selected Licensed Financial Institution* *or Spare *will guide you on corrective actions.
